Before & After: Crown Replacement to Eliminate Food Impaction
The patient presented with food impaction between the upper right teeth. Upon examination, recurrent decay was found beneath the existing crown. The old crown was removed, the decay was thoroughly excavated, and the tooth was found to have a deep subgingival margin. A new crown was then fabricated and placed with well-sealed margins, helping to eliminate the food trap and reduce future food impaction between the teeth.

We accept most major PPO insurance plans, including Delta Dental, Cigna, Aetna, United Healthcare, BlueCross BlueShield, Humana, MetLife, Guardian, and more, and we file your claims for you. We’re also in-network with Medicaid for kids and Medicare Advantage plans. We don’t accept HMO plans.
No insurance? Our in-house membership plan starts at $30/month and includes two exams, two cleanings, two fluoride treatments, and an emergency exam each year, plus 20% off treatment. We offer low-interest financing options through Cherry. We also accept cash and all major credit cards.
